Helicopter 16

Field-Proven Standard Model

The original name for Helicopter 16 is UH-60M Black Hawk, manufactured by Sikorsky. It is a long-established medium heavy helicopter that flew for the first time in the 1970s and has logged over one million flying hours for missions in Iraq and Afghanistan. Over 3000 helicopters have been manufactured and are operational in around 30 nations worldwide.

The UH 60M is the current and most modern variant with a glass cockpit and advanced digital avionics. The helicopter 16 ordered by FMV is the standard version of the US Army, with no Swedish modifications or special requirements.
