FMV test the mobility of a RMMV SX 45.

On Wednesday 28 May FMV signed a framework agreement concerning heavy trucks with the German company, Rheinmetall MAN Military Vehicles (RMMV).

Family photo – It has been a long journey, but now we – and the Norwegian Armed Forces Logistics Organisation (FLO) – have finally signed an agreement that will allow us to provide the Armed Forces with heavy load-carrying vehicles in the future. Today we signed three agreements – one covering the purchase of a wide variety of truck variants, an agreement about Contractor Logistic Support (CLS), and the first order for over 300 vehicles, which will be delivered from the beginning of 2016, says project manager, Caroline Viberg.

– The Armed Forces are not only interested in the trucks themselves, but also in their being on the road and not sitting in workshops. We believe we have found a good solution, where the Armed Forces, FMV workshops and RMMV collaborate on maintenance so that the Armed Forces can get the maximum out of the vehicles, concludes Caroline Viberg.
